PlayStation reveal cloud strategy at Cloud Gaming USA!!!
Get ready to see senior leaders from PlayStation Now and Gaikai show how gamers can stream PlayStation’s biggest titles —not just from their console, but from Internet-connected devices including smart phones, tablets and TV’s. It all takes place at this year’s Cloud Gaming USA conference (September 4-5, San Francisco).
PlayStation Now entered Open Beta this summer, making mass cloud streaming possible for PlayStations 4’s large instil base for the first time. Users can pay for durations as short as 4 hours to sample games, as well up to 7-, 30- or 90-day periods, giving new flexibility to the gaming industry.
Jack Buser, Senior Director PlayStation Now, and Robert Stevenson CBO and SVP Strategy Gaikai, will represent SONY Computer Entertainment at Cloud Gaming USA to share the most exciting developments in cloud streaming across all devices. They’ll also share the history, technical anecdotes, and integration of the Gaikai-based cloud products into a fully-featured gaming service.
Far from the only platform, Playstation will be joined by the restructured Onlive, grid pioneers NVIDIA and Chinese telco giant DR Peng Group — all of which are eager to capture the attention of decision-makers from leading publishers EA, Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard.
Google and Ericsson will also join the crowd as digital distribution looks set to shape the future of the ever-growing games industry. To understand more about the lively debate coming up, check out the conference website.
