As the world moves at lightning speed to the Internet of Things, the most overlooked issues can be the ones that can hurt us the most: security and privacy. It’s the classic trade-off: We give up more information to gain the efficiencies promised by this interconnected lifestyle, but at the same time, we want to keep everything about us private. Where should the line be drawn? Should the line even exist? It’s important that we understand the parameters that these systems and technologies need to live within, including laws and legal standards. In this session, our panel will examine these issues as well as review the legal and moral issues inherent in this debate.
